‘The Root Note’ live at NZ National Jazz Festival

Australia’s Jazz trio ‘The Root Note’ are heading down under to New Zealand for The National Jazz Festival Easter weekend 21st – 25th April 2011.  They are wrapped to be here for the first time as a group and more than ready to deliver for their New Zealand fans a colorful mix of contemporary Jazz, Swing, Blues, Funk, Latin, through to their original material. The Root Note are sure to have the place jumping to their jammin’ set.

Individually the band members, Adam Thomas (saxophone and percussion), Wil Sargisson (Keybpoard) and Aaron West (drums) have worked with the likes of James Morrison, Kate Ceberano, Richie Cole, Amos Garrett, Julie Anthony, Venetta Fields, Mary Coughlan and many more. They have toured the USA, Holland, Papua New Guinea, the Middle East, and Japan, featuring on renowned festival bills including: St. Kilda Festival of Music (AU), Paso Del Norte (USA), New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (USA), Queen’s Day (Holland), Dubai International Jazz Festival, and almost every Jazz & Blues festival in New Zealand.
