Sharne Parker (BASENIA) and Sarah Foley have been announced as winners of TVNZ U LIVE CHANNEL ‘TUNE ‘ KIT KAT MUSIC COMPETION for their Awesome Drum n Bass Track GO INSANE!

Sharne and Sarah have been in the studio with producer Joel Little of Goodnight Nurse and Kids of 88 fame, perfecting the track and the outcome is INSANE!

Originally from Wellington and Queenstown respectively, Basenia (Sharne Parker) and Sarah Foley met at MAINZ earlier this year.  After realizing they both had a passion for Bass music, they decided to collaborate, the outcome being the catchy, uplifting ‘GO INSANE’.

Producer Sharne Parker “BASENIA” is one of the youngest EDM producers going global in Moombahton.

Sharne learn’t how to produce EDM back in High School at Wellington High School, mostly producing R&B instrumentals coming from an R&B background. He is now currently at MAINZ “Music Audio Institute of New Zealand” in Auckland, being lectured by the  Matt Chicoine ‘Recloose’ and DJ Philippa, both of whom are exceptionally talented in DJing and production.

He is influenced by Dave Nada, Dillon Frances and Diplo/Major Lazer from the fast growing Moombahton scene, and also drawing inspiration from  Drum n Bass artists such as Netsky, DJ Fresh and Sigma. He knew that the Moombahton Movement was his calling, and you can expect some seriously exciting  sounds coming soon to your dancefloor.

Sarah Foley has been singing and song writing for the last four years. With artist influences such as Shapeshifter, Tali, and Katy B, Sarah has developed a passion and desire for singing and MCing over electronic music. She has recently being taken under the wing of well known NZ DnB MC – Tali, and is working with her on developing her own style of free styling and singing both live and in the recording studio.
